The first thematic webinar of the Smart Green ASEAN Cities (SGAC) Programme aims to provide a platform to foster knowledge exchanges between European cities and ASEAN cities and between cities within the ASEAN, focusing on viable financing solutions for smart green city projects on urban solid waste management. In the webinar, we have 5 speakers as follows:  Voices from cities Parma (Italy). Gabriele Folli, Former Deputy Mayor for the Environment of the City of Parma (Italy). Gabriele played a pivotal role in transforming the city from a top waste producer to a Zero Waste model. Ljubljana (Slovenia). Jože Gregorič, Project Manager at JP VOKA SNAGA, Ljubljana (Slovenia). SNAGA is a public utility company that has been key in supporting the City of Ljubljana's ambitious goal to achieve Zero Waste, the first European Capital to make such a commitment in 2014. Kaysone Phomvihane City (Lao PDR). Ponepadit Nakhiengchanh, Environmental Monitoring Officer, Office of Natural Resources and Environment, Kaysone Phomvihane City (Lao PDR). Kaysone Phomvihane has developed a successful partnership with the private sector to operate its sanitary landfill and an on-site material recovery facility Sector Specialists Ririn Restu Adiati, Advisor for Emissions Reduction in Cities through Improved Waste Management (ERiC DKTI). The project focuses on financing and economic models in 6 pilot cities in Indonesia. With a decade of expertise, she actively assists local governments in developing solid waste management masterplan and engaging the private sector in mitigation actions. Terra Michaels, Representative of GRET in Cambodia. GRET is a French international development NGO with extensive global experience in the solid waste sector, supporting various inclusive waste management initiatives in the region, including projects in Cambodia and Vietnam.
